Too.. Many.. Blogs..!

So like, my friend who also uses Blogger told me recently to convert to Wordpress. It sure looks like it has a lot more freedom to customize than Blogger! So I signed up for an account. LOL.

But I don't think I would abandon Blogger completely though.. Just need to think of a new use or new function for this blog.. :P

I think I have too many blogs! I don't even update/check them all equally often. HAHA.

Finding a focus

It's like when playing manual focus with DSLR, you gotta know where to focus to get the best image. Best image doesn't have to be what people think should be in focus, it should be what YOU want to capture. The general public or the machine itself might not believe that it should be the right image, but as long as you know that's what you want to get, it IS the best image. Of course there are still some rules you have to follow to take a good picture and that's something you can't neglect. But as long as you follow that set code of rules, however you set your focus, the final product will be a work of art - best image.

Life is like photography, you find your own focus, and put your effort into it. The final product should be what you want. Everyone will have different focus, and different images even if shooting at the same scenery. As long as you follow the general rules of how you produce this final product, nobody can judge your image as a bad product because everyone has a different focus.

When you use auto-focus on the camera, you are letting the machine judge what's the best focus for your image. The product can also match what you wanted in mind, but of course there are times they don't. When you let the environment influence your life focus, sure sometimes they match with what you want too, but sometimes they don't. There is nothing bad in letting people give you advice and suggestions to influence on how your life should go, just like there is nothing wrong with letting the camera decide what's the best focus when you're stuck or simply just don't mind that much.

But in the end, advanced photographers will find that manual focus is the most fun and most satisfactory thing to do, and it also shows that you have learned to take control of the image production. Life is just the same; in the end, the winners are those who learn to take control of their own life, know themselves what they are doing and what they want. And like advanced photography, taking manual control is definitely the most fun thing to do, and it gives you a greater sense of accomplishment and confidence when you see the final product turns out just the way you wanted.

When taking photos using manual focus, you experiment a lot in order to find the best image. You can't be afraid to try because you never know if one image is exactly what you want; one image may turn out fine, but it might not necessarily be the best image that makes you go "wow." The goal of manual focus is not only to learn how to take control, but also to experiment and FIND the best image. Life has several different paths to take, and we can choose to be satisfied with one path and just keep going along. But we can also experiment and try different things to really find what's the best.

When you find that image that makes you go "WOW," then you can stop and publish that as your final product - best image, work of art.

When you find that path in life that makes you say "yup this is what i really want and I'm really satisfied and happy about it with no complaint," then you have finally found the meaning of life.

Let's all work hard to become that successful photographer in life, to find and produce the best image that we can show people.

"Yup this is my life, and I'm proud of it."

p.s.: Of course photography involves more than just manually controlling "focus" (I know there are like aperture, shutter speed, white balance and all those specific stuff) but for easier understanding of the analogy, I thought only using "focus" would be better. :P

True to myself

I'm pretty good at not caring what others think of me so I don't let my mood become affected by what others are speculating. But not when I'm not even sure if I'm doing the right thing myself...

Socialize

Socializing seems like a necessary survival skill in our everyday lives. And some people happen to be better at it than the others.

Is it an innate skill? Or is it something you develop as you grow?

I think it's something you can develop. Sure, personality plays some part in it, but that doesn't mean it's all controlled and influenced by personality; you can change yourself if you want. Of course you won't be able to change yourself drastically to a totally different person that doesn't match your personality, but I think socializing is simply a communication skill and can be developed with experience.

I don't think I'm a really outgoing person (right?) but I try to force myself to learn how to talk with people. The one thing you must learn is how to start a conversation and how to keep it going. And I think that takes skill and experience. If you try hard enough, eventually you'll get the hang of it, and I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it which is a good thing.

People gotta learn how to expand social circles; after all, the more people you know, the more friends you make, the more chance you have in whatever you want to do. ;]

Misunderstanding

So like, I guess if you over-do some things, people may misunderstand you. Or maybe it's just that the stuff you are doing SEEMS like it means something which you never intended.

But I guess that's totally normal. After all, you might not intentionally do something, but in other people's eyes, it means something because that's what the general public agrees with. Well, then, just gotta be careful of your behavior sometimes. Don't wanna cause misunderstandings in any way. :]

World Filled With Love

Song by Craig David - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYD4RdkV_Ng

End of entry. Just kidding.

So the title basically reflects the observation these days. In just one short semester, 5 couples have already formed in my grade and another one is looking like it will happen soon, too. So much gossip going on about who likes whom it's kinda funny. Are we middle schoolers again? LOL. Okay well, I guess it's pretty fun sometimes to talk about gossips like that because I enjoy it too :P

Talking with different people makes you realize that there are always people who care about you and watch your every move without you realizing it sometimes. Man, people love to dig gossips haha. Well, I don't think I'll have anything for them to dig anyway so I'm not worried like some people are right now :P

Experience tells me, a person like me will probably not have someone that would have any interest in me, especially in freshmen year. It'll probably take another few years or so.. True story.

Pray for Japan

The earthquake and tsunami have resulted in huge damage to the Japanese economy and infrastructure, and a great number of people have fallen victim to the sudden attack from nature.

Let's keep on praying for Japan.

Watching the news these days makes me feel sad for the Japanese people, but at the same time I also admire their ability to handle this kind of situation with such efficiency and order, something we Taiwanese need to learn. Anyways, watching the videos on the tsunami situation really reminds me of the movies talking about 2012, how everything is going to get flooded and all.. It's kind of scary.

Perhaps it is coming.. 2012.. Maybe not the end of the world, but definitely a big global climate change or some kind of geological change is going to take place.. I think..

So.. let's live everyday to the fullest, for we never know when the end is going to come..

Understanding

If people can be more empathic, then there wouldn't be so much conflict between each other.

But if you don't show authority sometimes, it gets harder to become convincing.

But if you show authority, sometimes it can hurt a relationship.

So.. it is a tough move to make..

To point out the faults in someone's action and possibly hurt the relationship, or to keep quiet and let it slip?
